Much of the new build component of the scheme will be built on the site of the current 'Sidings' /'Jack Rabbit Slims' building. Originally this building served as Hoylake's Fire Engine house, but this could not practically be retained within the scheme; since the 1970s it has been extended and reconfigured to such an extent that it has made incorporation into this scheme unviable. Aspects of the important history and heritage of the site will be incorporated into the development.
